I was taken to the restaurant by "foodies" and had a good meal. So I returned for dinner with other friends. This time the food was not good except for the lamb teriyaki. The whole fish with ginger was not tasty as it had been earlier, and a mixed vegetable dish was tasteless. All very disappointing. Also alarming we found a piece of metal (from a can?) which luckily no one ate. It shows a lack of care.We won't be returning again.

Just an update to let you know what they did to make up for it. ... you guessed it. Nothing, not even an email of apology. Hence, their one-star status remains unchanged, and that's that. With such terrible customer service, I'm not going back.

Needed some authentic Chinese food yesterday so headed over to the town of gnomes and visited Golden Garden. Was a bit late for lunch, but that's OK, the tea was hot and the soup was tasty. I wasn't in the mood for a huge meal, but my beef and noodle soup was filling and the portion was ample. On a side note it is always interesting to see the clientele at this place. Usually lots of young Asian kids or Asian families that recognize good, food, decent prices and large portions. Thought about buying a bag of dumplings for new years but it would be awhile till I got back to a freezer so I passed..Service was good, the staff friendly and I am glad I detoured to that place for lunch

I read all these reviews and also a Belmont resident with VERY limited choice around here for GOOD food, thought I'd go with this place...and yes, I had to order the 'American-Chinese' food because that is what my kids like! However, Sesame chicken should contain at least an OUNCE of chicken and not chicken skin-fat, deep fried with orange sauce on it...I never once bit into chicken meat....ewwww! And their beef & broccoli was also 'questionable' meat....sad to say, for $50 on take-out, we won't EVER be returning, the left-overs weren't edible (and there were plenty of them).

Fantastic. The shumai is to die for.Actually, it's all really good.A word of caution though. Last time I had some sort of spicy beef with cabbage and it was too hot for me to eat, and I can handle a lot of heat!

I had ma po tofu, and garlic pork. The ma po tofu taste average, but not spicy enough...since this is not a sezhun restaurant, not too spicy is acceptable. However, the garlic pork disappointed me. As a garlic pork lover, I've been eating alot of this. The skin itself lost elasticity, and it should be a cold dish, but dont know why it is hot(temp). Overall this place worth 2 stars, I'll give half star for easy parking, and another half for excellent service. They have great staff.

U need to know what to order here. The dumplings and the Dongbei (northeastern chinese cuisine) dishes are very authentic and exceptionally good. But the other dishes like fried rice and spring rolls are quite awful.I am extremely happy to have authentic Chinese food in Belmont, especially since Chinese northeastern cuisine is rare even in Chinatown.I
